If you get caught smoking marijuana in public in Colorado, you will be fined $100. It’s not that bad compared to other states. However, depending on the situation, you could also be jailed for up to 15 days.
On another note, if you get caught possessing marijuana on federal land, you could be fined up to $5,000 and up to six months of jail time.
You are allowed to grow marijuana in Colorado
This is good news for many marijuana enthusiasts. Yes, you can grow your own marijuana in Colorado. To be more precise, you can grow up to six plants for personal use. Keep in mind that you are not allowed to sell marijuana that you grow unless you have a marijuana seller’s license issued by certain facilities. As of this writing, there are only 136 licenses that exist, and all were issued by medical marijuana facilities.
Do not bring your marijuana outside of the state of Colorado
